“Maybe there is no Heaven. Or maybe this is all pure gibberish—a product of the demented imagination of a lazy drunken hillbilly with a heart full of hate who has found a way to live out where the real winds blow—to sleep late, have fun, get wild, drink whisky, and drive fast on empty streets with nothing in mind except falling in love and not getting arrested . . . Res ipsa loquitur. Let the good times roll.”

Visited El Santuario (shrine) De Chimayo the other day after returning from Santa Fe. It’s said that the holy soil is the source of many miracles. January 16th, 2008 · No Comments

After leaving 245 miles from Brooklyn we finally made it into through MD, WV and into KY. We stayed the night out side of Lexington Kentucky. The next morning we had a quick, uneventful drive through downtown Lexington before heading an hour or so south and arriving at the Jim Beam Distillery. Jim Beam is [...]

Sxip Shirey’s Hour of Charm – Joe’s Pub

January 10th, 2008 · No Comments

Caught this variety show Thursday night at Joe’s Pub. Incredible fun. Each act had it’s own amazing qualities. I really liked the 500 Clown performance and the music of Dayna Kurtz. Kalki Hula Girl was an Australian hottie who hypnotized me with her gyrating hula hoops.

Featured artists included:

Kalki Hula Girl
Dayna Kurtz
